The process is completely manual. Starts with Ana's design, the first step for develop it is wood pressing, where the fronts have 9 blades and arms 6 sheets of wood, This step begins to give life to each design with the combination of different woods, which always guarantees new designs and unique. The drying process takes between 24 and 32 hours. Then cut all parts, each of the glasses has 11 pieces of wood then individually cut to join in the gluing process, as they are the holder hinges and platelets or nose pads. Then we have the polishing process where you go through 4 types of sandpaper different achieving a smooth and soft wood finish. after the lenses and they are ready for assembly, hinges and arms are installed. Already assembled linseed oil is applied and allowed at least one day, then waxes are applied which also requires at least 8 hours after drying to remove excess wax and shine with a cloth. The final steps are engraving and installation of brand lenses. Ana Barragan cured and waxed the glasses with a wax cream that is make with three kinds of natural waxes, indeed oil, paraffin and turpentine to waterproof and protect the product.
